9-23-09 470 ARG News Letter

Hello to everyone, hope all are doing well, and not sick !!, The flu is really getting worse as you all probably know in our area's , take the precautions as instructed by the CDC and health departments in your area...had a good net last week thanks to Danny and Russell, who I want to thank for doing the net... had a total of 61 total check in's.... well with that lets get started.......
The 443.225 repeater is up and running at its home here in Sevierville, and seems to be doing a great job. The repeater is the Sevier County Emergency Radio Service club repeater under the call sign of KJ4HPM as listed in the coordination assignment, listed in Southeast Repeater Association..,(SERA) and will be listed in the ARRL and all other directories next year... A super and special thanks to W4KEV Kevin for his wonderful support in our club, and ARES, for his donation of the repeater, antenna and all the hard labor he has put forth for us......and the community... For those who don't know Kevin is the EC for Knox county so if your in Knox county and interested  in ARES  that's the man you need to see ......
