There will be a 160 meter/80 meter multi band inverted V handy that we pull up out back on the tower; there is a pulley and rope-line waiting there whenever we need it. We pull it up and stake the ends of the inverted V down with bungy rope and tent stakes. This is the antenna we always use each December. The rigs to be use during this 24 hour period will be a Kenwood TS 430 power supply and a MFJ antenna tuner A mike and a CW key will be available to those
wishing to participate in your favorite mode. There will be an ICOM 718 and antenna tuner along with a 2nd inverted antenna. You are invited to join in the fun during this 24 hour period to help contact as many other National Weather Ham stations, fellow amateurs state wise and DX contacts as well. Contact Ed Bradley, w4vgi@juno.com if you wish to be a part of the WX4MRX Special Event operations this year. There will be a Sky warn Board meeting Saturday December 5th, 1 PM at NWS Morristown, TN. All Sky warn representatives are welcome to the Board meeting. All Sky warn spotters are welcome to the Sky Warn Recognition Event December 4th 7 PM to Saturday 7 PM December 5th.
For those in the 470 District 6 area, Bill Hicks W1RFA,the DEC and Myself Rick Sawaya Sr N4JTQ ADEC will be there on Saturday around 12:00.. we hope that you will stop by and participate in this great event which happens each year, and get to meet all the staff at the NWS........

Also those able to check into the Wed Sevier County 470 District 6 Skywarn net ,please join us on 443.225, this is a low profile repeater that is licensed as KJ4HPM under Sevier County Emergency Radio Service, the net starts at 8:30 pm ,check in only, name ,call, location and if a Skywarn Spotter, you do not have to stay around, this test the repeater coverage, and those who are interested in Skywarn and maybe would like to become a certified Skywarn spotter, the 145.470 is the primary frequency for the 470 District 6 Skywarn, under the supervision of W1RFA Bill Hicks and the NWS, hope that you can join us , if unable to get into the machine please e mail me at n4jtq@live.com with above info, remember you do not have to be a ham operator to be a part of Skywarn, for more info you can contact me or Bill Hicks.
